There are fingers, tiny but so strong, tugging at your sleeve. They demand attention, curling against your wrist (persistent enough to bruise). Money isn’t infinite: this must be explained to your daughter. You must allow her to discover that simple desire isn’t enough to gain an item; there must instead be effort. Dollars must now be earned (at least in small amounts).
